I couldn't recommend Auralia enough. After being to 4 previous consultations with different clinics Auralia really stood out, I booked my surgery the day of my consultation because I was so happy with everything. I will definitely be going back for any further procedures. I got 480cc UHP I was 36A I won't know what my final cup size will be for another few months but will most certainly be more than a D cup. They are already so natural looking I couldn't be happier!

I choose Auralia because of how helpful and friendly every single member of their team was to me. I couldn’t be happier with how my surgery went and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else! Dr Salman was the kindest and most informative surgeon I have ever come across and it’s clear from the second you meet him he only wants the best for you! It was the best experience from the consultation, day of surgery and all my aftercare and I’m so delighted I went to Auralia for my Breast Augmentation.

I’d recommend him 100%! On the day of the surgery, the staff were amazing! They were so easy to talk to just put me at ease. This is strange to say but I was honestly in no pain at all after my op which I was surprised at! I drove from Derry to Dublin for this procedure with Dr Salman and I would 100% do it again I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I also want to thank Susan and Chloe C for helping me out during this time, they’ve both been so caring and reassuring with emails and phone calls before and after the op, I’d also like to thank Dr Salman again he’s amazing! 🙂

I’m almost 4 weeks post-op following my breast augmentation surgery with Dr Salman, I am beyond thrilled with my results so far. The staff are second to none, from the patient coordinators, the anaesthetist, the nursing staff (pre and post-op) and of course my surgeon- they are experts in their field. The clinic itself is spotless, modern and very comfortable and the extra precautions taken with Covid 19 immediately put me at ease. I’d have absolutely no hesitations recommending Auralia to family and friends, a flawless experience from start to finish

Cease taking aspirin or products containing aspirin, as i can elevate the risk of bleeding. Also avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Brufen or Volterol, as well as Vitamin E tablets or multivitamins containing Vitamin E.

It’s recommended that you take 1gm of vitamin C twice a day. This will help improve wound healing. If your surgery is in the morning, it’s a good idea to shower the night before, using a medicated shower gel or body scrub. You should also wash your hair and remove any nail polish before the also wash your hair and remove any nail polish before the surgery.

On the day of your procedure make sure you dress in loose clothing and wear a zip-up top or cardigan instead of a pullover. Lifting your arms might be sore after procedure so you want to make recovery as easy as possible.

During The Surgery

The breast augmentation surgery is carried out under a general anaesthetic and lasts about 50 minutes.

STEP 1

A 5-6cm incision is made beneath the breast tissue

STEP 2

This incision allows the surgeon to access the tissue behind the breast

STEP 3

A pocket is created behind the breast tissue or the main muscle

STEP 4

The implant can then be placed carefully inside this pocket

STEP 5

The incision is finally skillfully closed with dissolvable sutures

Breast Augmentation FAQs

GENERAL

Breast augmentation (also known as a boob job) can benefit anybody who’s looking to feel more comfortable in their own skin in regard to their breasts.

Whether you want to increase the size of your breasts, correct asymmetrical breasts, or restore your breast’s natural volume, breast augmentation surgery can help you.

During your breast surgery consultation, your full medical history is examined to make sure you’re an appropriate candidate.

Then you’ll have a breast examination, which will allow your doctor to assess the characteristics of your breast tissue as well as the size and shape of your rib cage.

You’ll also be able to choose your preferred implant size, shape and projection during your consultation. Once you’ve chosen, you can try on a special garment that allows you to see and feel what your new breasts will be like.

During your consultation, you are in the driver’s seat. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. Your doctor will address any concerns you might have so you can be confident about the choice you’re making.

There are always risks with any surgery, no matter how safe it is. These risks can include infection, scarring, and pain. If you’re worried about complications during your breast surgery, then talk with your doctor, and they’ll explain all the risks to you to help you make an informed decision.

IMPLANTS

This varies from patient to patient, and will be discussed with you during your consultation.

Implants are available as either round or teardrop in shape. Your doctor will run through everything you need to know about the types of implants we have in your initial consultation.

BIA-ALCL is a rare but potentially serious condition. 80% of BIA-ALCL cases are associated with the implant manufacturer Allergan. Auralia does not use Allergan implants. If you’d like further information about BIA-ALCL please go here.

AFTER PROCEDURE

After the operation, you’ll be discharged the same day, and we advise that a friend drives you home from the hospital. Most patients won’t have any bruising after surgery, but occasionally some patients will under their breasts.

There might be a small bit of swelling within the breasts and your skin might feel tight during recovery, but this will relax after the first week and your breasts will return to their more natural appearance.

Painkillers might be needed during your first 5 days of recovery, but you’ll be able to resume driving and light work the day after surgery.

You should avoid lifting heavy weights like shopping bags until you’re fully healed. You should also wait until the day after to shower.

Furthermore, you’ll have a check-up with Dr Salman after your first week, and by now most patients go back to work.

By week 6 you’ll have your final review appointment with Dr Salman and the majority of swelling should have gone down.

Your breast implant will not rupture on an airplane, and this is a common misconception. Breast implants are perfectly safe for flying, and you’ll be able to travel with no issues. However, it is not recommended that you take flights longer than 5 hours in the first week post-surgery.

Breast implants are placed below the mammary gland so they won’t interfere with breastfeeding.

If your job involves light office work, they can go back to work within 3-4 days. You can go back to more intense work after 7 days.

You won’t be able to exercise straight after breast implant surgery, and you’ll only be able to resume exercise or go back to the gym 4-5 weeks post-operation.
