Inverted Nipple Surgery Reviews From Our Patients
Nipple Reduction Surgery
Nipple reduction is a procedure that reduces the height, width, or overall prominence of the nipple to create a more proportionate, natural appearance. It can be helpful if your nipples feel too large, long, or noticeable through clothing, or if there is asymmetry between both sides.
Nipple Reduction With Inverted Nipple Correction
In some cases, inverted nipple surgery can be combined with nipple reduction to refine both position and size in one plan. This is most useful if the nipple sits inward but also feels too prominent, long, or uneven, or if you want a more balanced look between both sides.
During your consultation, your surgeon will assess nipple projection, areola proportions, skin quality, and breastfeeding goals. If you’re a suitable candidate, both procedures can often be performed together as a single day-case treatment.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Inverted Nipple Surgery?
You are likely a good candidate for inverted nipple correction if:
✦ You have one or both nipples that turn inward or sit flat instead of projecting.
✦ Your inversion is long-standing or has not improved with simple non-surgical methods.
✦ You experience irritation, moisture trapping, or recurrent inflammation around the nipple.
✦ You feel self-conscious about nipple appearance in clothing or intimacy.
✦ You are in good general health and at a stable weight.
✦ You do not smoke or vape, or you are willing to stop as advised before and after surgery.
Inverted Nipple Surgery FAQs
Inverted nipples are nipples that pull inward instead of projecting outward. They’re most often congenital (present since development) due to fibrous tethering and/or short milk ducts, but can also be acquired after trauma, surgery, infection, or breast conditions.
Inverted nipple surgery (also called inverted nipple correction) is a minor procedure that releases the tight bands or shortened ducts pulling the nipple inward, so it sits in a more natural, projected position. It can be done on one or both nipples, usually under local anaesthetic as a day-case. Depending on the severity of inversion and your priorities, the surgeon may preserve the milk ducts where possible or divide them to reduce the risk of the nipple turning in again.
This minor surgical procedure is generally performed under local anaesthetic as a day patient with a relatively short recovery period. The procedure lasts between 30 and 60 minutes. Surgery can allow the patient to regain nipple appearance, and restore temperature and touch sensitivity. The procedure itself has minimal discomfort and is normally a safe, easy and quick operation. You’ll only spend a day at the clinic.
Surgery releases the tissues pulling the nipple inward, then supports the nipple in a projected position while it heals. Depending on severity, the surgeon may preserve ducts (where feasible) or divide some ducts to prevent recurrence in more severe cases.
Our inverted nipple surgery pricing starts from €58/month for one nipple and €97/month for both.
The price includes everything you need to be covered, from hospital fees, anaesthesia, surgeon fees, consultations, to aftercare and follow ups. No hidden extras.
Before choosing to undergo nipple correction surgery, you may be a candidate for a non-surgical solution The options will be discussed with you at your consultation. Many people don’t realise there are non-surgical treatments available, and we would always encourage you to explore them before thinking about surgery.
It can. If milk ducts need to be divided, breastfeeding is usually not possible afterward. If ducts can be preserved (more common in milder grades), breastfeeding may still be possible, but it cannot be guaranteed.
Most people do not lose sensation permanently, but temporary numbness or sensitivity changes can happen during healing. Rarely, changes can persist longer-term.
Scars are usually small and discreet, typically placed at the base of the nipple/areola where they blend well. Scar visibility varies by skin type and healing.
Discomfort is usually mild to moderate for the first few days and is typically manageable with simple pain relief.
Many patients return to desk-based work within a few days, while bruising/tenderness settles over 1–2 weeks. Strenuous exercise and chest pressure are usually avoided for a few weeks, based on your surgeon’s advice.
Possible risks include bleeding, infection, delayed healing, scarring, asymmetry, recurrence of inversion, and changes in sensation. Breastfeeding ability can also be affected, especially if ducts are divided.
Yes, recurrence is possible. It tends to be more likely when ducts are preserved and generally less likely when ducts are divided, but your surgeon will recommend the safest approach for your grade and goals.
