After the surgery, you’ll spend some time in a recovery room, where staff will monitor you for any complications. You can return home later the same day to continue your recovery.

- Apply ice packs to your eyes for 10 minutes every hour the night after surgery. On the following day, use ice packs 4 to 5 times throughout the day.
- Use any prescribed eye drops or ointments as directed.
- Sleep with your head elevated above your chest for a few days.
- Apply cool compresses to help reduce swelling.
- Wear dark sunglasses to protect your eyelid skin from sun and wind.

- Fast food, unhealthy food and large portions of food
- Smoke for four weeks after surgery, and try to quit if possible
- Engage in any form of heavy exercise like running or heavy lifting
- Panic and search for solutions on Google or other search engines
- Miss your appointments or ignore them
