Following your Breast Augmentation procedure, you can expect some initial recovery time and certain steps to promote healing and achieve optimal results, and here’s a breakdown of what comes after surgery and what you should do.

Immediately After your Breast Augmentation Surgery

After surgery, you’ll be monitored in recovery for a day to ensure everything’s A-OK, you can expect some swelling, bruising, and soreness.

Once you’re good to go (around 24 hours), your surgeon will give you incision care instructions and send you home, but you won’t be flying solo, so please arrange for someone to drive you home and stay with you for the first 48 hours.

After the breast augmentation surgery, your breasts may be bruised, swollen or tender. The bruising and swelling can take up to four weeks or more to resolve. Do not be unduly worried about this.

You may experience moderate pain and discomfort for the first 48 hours.

10 Days after your breast augmentation surgery

On the 10th day after your surgery, an appointment will be made for you at one of the Auralia Clinics, so the sutures can be removed by the Auralia surgeon or nurse.

Any questions regarding when you can resume physical exercise, housework etc. will be answered at this appointment.

Use Bio-Oil™ twice a day on the scar for six weeks.
The next appointment will be about 4 weeks from your surgery.
